There are an estimated 363,000 people across England experiencing multiple disadvantage across a combination of substance misuse, homelessness, poor mental health, domestic abuse and contact with the criminal justice system.
That’s why we’re delighted that MHCLG has launched the Changing Futures programme – an initiative to adapt local systems to support adults experiencing multiple disadvantage. Changing Futures builds on the work done by the Fulfilling Lives Programme and the Making Every Adult Matter coalition, which is comprised of Collective Voice, Homeless Link, Mind and Clinks.
The £46m programme is being financed through the Shared Outcomes Fund. It will work in partnership with up to 15 local areas to test innovative approaches and improve outcomes for people experiencing multiple disadvantage.
Changing Futures is now open to Expressions of Interest from local partnerships. The deadline to apply is Thursday 21 January, with delivery of the programme expected to start in Spring 2021.
