The 2020 Comprehensive Spending Review was planned to set out the government’s financial settlement for departments over the next four years. However, the government has taken the decision to postpone the expected Autumn Budget in light of the Covid-19 crisis, and the future of the Comprehensive Spending Review, is not yet clear.
Collective Voice made a submission to the CSR in September, calling for significant financial investment in substance misuse treatment as an important element of improving the nation’s health and wellbeing, increasing opportunity for individuals, and creating safer communities.
