Collective Voice responds to PHE evidence review of drug treatment in England

Public Health England (PHE) today published their evidence review on the outcomes that can be expected of drug misuse treatment in England.

The evidence review used a mixed methods approach to review the evidence, drawing on statistical information, engagement with stakeholders including experts by experience, and commissioning external reviews by academic experts.

The report demonstrates that effective evidenced-based treatment is being delivered across England.

Collective Voice supports the report’s findings on the need to ensure people in treatment have access to good employment advice and support, housing and healthcare services, as discussed previously.

Collective voice are keen to work with national and local government to ensure effective broad reaching evidence-based treatment continues to be available to all who need it including those with the most complex needs and at greatest risk.
